Montblanc writers edition Robert Louis Stevenson fountain pen limited edition
The reference is 129417.
Many decorative details of this edition are inspired by the novel “Treasure Island”. The overall shape of the writing instrument, combined with the rings on the cone, recreates the effect of a historic extendable telescope. The black precious resin body is decorated with engraved crosses, including a larger “X” similar to that used to mark the location of treasure on a map. The hood is adorned with vertical lines that recall the planks of the schooner "Hispaniola" and a traditional chest. Behind the platinum-finish clip, the lines converge to create a compass rose, while the clip reproduces the shape of a cleat, to which the ship's shrouds are fixed.
The top of the cap is crowned with the Montblanc emblem, decorated with the pirate symbol - a skull and crossbones - elevated in the center. The cap ring is engraved with Stevenson's signature, and the date of publication of his first work, “The Pentland Rising,” in 1866.
The birth and death years of Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) are engraved on the cap. In homage to Robert Louis Stevenson's passion for sailing and his choice to move to the South Seas, the hand-crafted, rhodium-plated Au 750 solid gold nib is engraved with a delicate wave pattern and the name the Samoans gave the great writer and globetrotter: “Tusitala”.
Franco Cuomo Gioielli is an authorized Montblanc retailer, the limited edition pen is complete with box and official certificates.
